The project was developed in close collaboration with other members of the FTD LT Cluster&#8217;s EXPO group, including industry leaders Astra LT AB, UAB Aumega, MB I\u0161man\u016bs in\u017eineriniai sprendimai, UAB Aksonas, and UAB Termosaig\u0117 ir Ko. Throughout the project&#8217;s duration, the team received critical scientific consultations from experts at the Lithuanian Energy Institute, ensuring a strong foundation in research-driven innovation.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--wp--preset--color--base);\">The project\u2019s core objectives were fully realized, with all milestones achieved, and a comprehensive final report has been submitted for evaluation by expert panels. This accomplishment represents a significant leap in integrating green energy solutions into industrial manufacturing, showcasing the technological capabilities and collaborative potential of Nordic Stainless Steel Tanks LT and its FTD LT Cluster&#8217;s EXPO Group partners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--wp--preset--color--base);\">This project under the name of &#8220;Development of an Environmentally Friendly, Solar Energy-Powered Industrial Liquid Heating Surface&#8221; (Project No. 02-006-K-0179), was funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU initiative under the Economic Recovery and Resilience Facility (locally referred to as &#8220;Next Generation Lithuania&#8221;). The project\u2019s primary goal was to design and implement an advanced industrial tank insulation system, leveraging recyclable materials\u2014particularly stainless steel\u2014to capture and transfer solar thermal energy directly to the stored liquid products. This solution marks a step forward in green industrial technologies, promoting energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--wp--preset--color--base);\">The project addresses a key industrial challenge: the high energy consumption required to maintain stable temperatures for liquid products, particularly those in large-scale storage tanks. By incorporating solar energy as a natural, renewable heating source, the innovative tank cover provides a means to reduce the reliance on traditional energy sources, resulting in reduced operational costs and decreased carbon footprints. This system is especially relevant for industries where temperature-sensitive materials are stored, such as in the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>By successfully implementing the solar energy-powered insulation system, Nordic Stainless Steel Tanks LT has set a new standard for sustainable industrial practices.
