The Lithuanian company Astra LT AB and its “FTD LT” Cluster EXPO Group partners – „Nordic Stainless Steel Tanks LT“, „Aksonas“ ir „Išmanūs inžineriniai sprendimai“ has once again proven its competence in the international market. Its contribution to the modern paracetamol plant being built in the Izere region was highlighted on national French television. The plant plans to produce about 15,000 tons of paracetamol per year (half of the total European demand) and will use Astra LT AB tanks to store and transport active ingredients.
Astra LT AB is a member of the cross-sector cluster “Food Technologies Digitalization LT” and is actively expanding its operations in foreign markets, seeking partners and increasing exports. This international project in France reflects the successful integration of the company into the global supply chain and demonstrates its ability to contribute to major European pharmaceutical projects.
Due to the innovative production of Astra LT AB tanks and automation, the French paracetamol production process will become more efficient and competitive. Furthermore, this initiative will help reduce Europe’s dependency on Asian markets, as this raw material was previously imported from India and China.
Astra LT AB sold tanks to the plant for over 2 million euros, and two other members of the “Food Technologies Digitalization LT” cluster contributed to this project: UAB Aksonas, and UAB Nordic Stainless Steel Tanks LT. The collaboration of these companies demonstrates strong Lithuanian engineering competence and the ability to adapt to the highest European industry standards.
This project is significant not only from an economic standpoint but also for technological advancement, helping Astra LT AB become an important partner in the European pharmaceutical market. The company’s further development and orientation towards new international markets strengthen its influence in the industrial sector and showcase the potential of Lithuanian industry on a global scale.
Astra LT AB and its partners – UAB Aksonas, UAB Aumega, UAB Nordic Stainless Steel Tanks LT, MB Smart Engineering Solutions, and UAB Termosnaigė ir Ko – are part of the Food Technologies Digitalization LT Cluster’s EXPO Group, which aims to enhance the international competitiveness and export capabilities of the FTD LT cluster.
