Astra LT AB, a prominent member of the FTD LT Cluster’s EXPO Group and a leading manufacturer in the stainless steel tank industry, has partnered with another FTD LT Cluster’s EXPO Group member – engineering company UAB “Aumega” to execute an ambitious project valued at over €0.5 million for a major chocolate producer. This collaboration, combining Astra LT AB expertise in tank manufacturing and Aumega’s advanced engineering capabilities, aims to set new standards in the chocolate production industry by enhancing production efficiency and traceability.

As part of the project, Astra LT AB will design and manufacture specialized heating and mixing tanks specifically tailored for chocolate mass processing. These tanks will be meticulously engineered to ensure optimal thermal distribution and mixing, critical for maintaining the delicate properties of chocolate during production. With Astra LT AB precision-focused approach and state-of-the-art equipment, the tanks will meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and durability required in food manufacturing.

EXPO Group member’s “Aumega” engineers will then step in to fully automate the tanks, integrating advanced control systems that guarantee consistent parameters throughout the production cycle. This automation will not only stabilize key factors such as temperature and mixing speed but will also enable full traceability across the production line. By implementing sophisticated monitoring and data-logging technology, Aumega will ensure that every batch of chocolate is produced to exact specifications, with detailed production data accessible in real time. This level of control is essential for quality assurance and regulatory compliance, particularly in the food industry, where maintaining stable production conditions is paramount.

This collaborative effort underscores Astra LT AB and Aumega as well as remaining of the FTD LT Cluster’s EXPO Group commitment to fostering innovation and quality within the industrial sector. By combining Astra LT AB expertise in high-quality stainless steel tanks manufacturing with Aumega proficiency in engineering automation, the FTD LT Cluster EXPO Group members continues to strengthen its reputation as a reliable partners for specialized manufacturing solutions across Europe.

The project not only brings immediate benefits to the chocolate producer by improving product consistency and efficiency but also aligns with broader industry trends toward automation and digitalization in manufacturing. Automated systems that offer full traceability are becoming increasingly important in ensuring food safety and quality, while also reducing operational costs and waste. This advanced solution marks a step forward in the modernization of food production, setting a benchmark for future projects within the FTD LT Cluster EXPO group.

With this successful partnership, Astra LT AB and Aumega are well-positioned to continue delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-performance solutions to the food industry and beyond. The project for the chocolate manufacturer exemplifies how the FTD LT Cluster EXPO group leverages the combined expertise of its members to meet complex industrial needs with cutting-edge technology and a commitment to excellence.

The project “Development of export markets and strengthening of internationalization of the FTD LT cluster” is implemented under the Progress Facility of the European Union Funds for the period 2021-2027, Development Programme 2022-2030.
